Get outta my head! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Is this even working cuz I don’t feel different? How do I know it’s working? ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Am I getting it right? Omg!!! I can’t concentrate! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Is the 10 minutes almost up yet? This is the longest 10 minutes ever. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Stop thinking...focus! Focus! Argh, I can’t focus right now. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 100 days straight of my morning @headspace meditation and my mind is still like a squirrel with nut most days while I’m trying to focus on my breath and let go of distracting thoughts. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I’m still enjoying this meditation thing despite the days when the chatter in my head is a serious distraction. The key for me is that I don’t put any pressure on myself in this process and I feel like I’m learning something new on a regular basis- gaining some new understanding with the various guided sessions. I’ve also accepted that this is what it is and some days will be better than others. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I’m happy that I’m able to make the time for a 10 min morning meditation (or power down sess before bed). TBh I debated at many points in the day whether I was going or not. Like, “maybe I should go to the mall and return that blouse” or “ummm, maybe I’ll go next week because I’m really sooooo tired right now and don’t have the energy...” 🤔 Self-sabotage in its most saddest form, no? Seriously, I couldn’t even get creative with the excuses🙄 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ But in the end I silenced the nonsense in my head, changed into my workout clothes and headed to class. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I punched hard, grunted loudly and felt like a champ, a very tired champ! 😂 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ It’s funny what can happen when we choose to not listen to the crap we tell ourselves! You could end up enjoying yourself and feeling empowered! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Go ahead, I dare you to silence the chatter and do that one little thing you’ve been putting off doing.
