i finally decided to purchase a decent leather handbag this year. i settled on this cole haan vintage valise kendra tote in black:

is it my ‘perfect’ bag? nope. but it was the right ‘starter’ investment bag for me and more importantly it was at the right price point –  i know this because i did not experience heart palpitations when paying for it. 

as part of my wardrobe resolutions back in january i had resolved to focus on quality over quantity in my purchases. this handbag is a step in the right direction. so far i love it and now have my eye on a marc by marc jacobs brown satchel…oh boy!
